    i was thinking off buying the rutlands one but readig this thread has changed my mind so i just need a planner already got a makita thicknesser and i dont want to spend much over £200 was thinking to get the eurbuer planner thicknesser from screwfix but they dont have any off any make they sell...

    keep on forgetting about using files think i got a few arond i no i got a second cut around the place plus a few chainsaw files i will have a look and see if i can get a few more but not many places around here sell files what about using a belt sander to try and remove as much as i can befor...

    i no this might sound silly but what about using a jigsaw to cut it instead and then filling it down or sanding it down with belt sander if i can get the sander to fit id asum id have to use the finest metal cutting blade on the jigsaw and also prevent it from bottoming out the slot currently...

    thanks another thing cutter speed what sort off cutter speed should i use the fastest a medium setting or the slowest the slowest speed is 12k rpm and fastest is 22k rpm

    hi im a wood butcher im asking how easy is it to use a router to widen a slot in cast iron using a tct router bit is there a certain amount i should only take off at a time ie 1/2mm or 1mm do i need to use colant i need to widen a 15mm track to 19mm

    you could rout the cast iron but i dont no how easy or dangerous it is might be worth asking the metal workers heres a utube of someone using a router on cast iron for some reason i cant post utube links says i dont have permission

    hi guys just joined this forum cause i just bought the draper cast iron tablsaw for £215 that was basic saw and stand no extension tables or sliding carriage so i was looking up for as much info that i could gleam from the interweb wish i new this saw could take 210mm blades befor i spent more...
