Dead right on the magnets...they are brilliant! Epoxy one to a bamboo bean support, cut to desired length, and you have a brilliant ‘pickup tool’ next time you drop something metallic on the floor in the workshop. Also works well for finding ’missing’ items in the bed of shavings under my lathe!

I would strongly suggest that you store ‘laid flat’ if at all possible. Even dry planked timber tends to take a ‘bow’ if stood not quite vertical for prolonged periods. Nice, and valuable acquisition though,...lucky you!

Here is a photo of the 'RED' smooth wheel I was querying. From what Rorsach has said, it looks as though this might have been a 'standard' inclusion on the early TORMEK machines. The one I have recently bought as auction was labelled as a SUPER Grinder 1200 which Axminster now say it is the same...
