I fitted one of those from Toolstation about 4 months ago. Not had any problems and use it daily for charging my iPad and phone. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Multi TH3/TH1 Thicknesser Restoration Project

Fantastic job and an awesome result. The difference between what you started with and have turned it into is like an ugly duckling transformed into a swan. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Can you help me identify and value my step dads machines

The planer/thicknesser is a Startrite SD310 and if in good condition (with little or no rust ) is worth around £400-£500. Your one is single phase which should make it easier to sell. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Boeing T9

Just started using it for my tools this Winter, so far so good. It sprays on as a fine liquid and even a small can goes a long way. Before this I was using some stuff from Workshop Heaven. Did the job but was a pain to apply, bit like hard paste wax. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    highest bidder reserve not met

When you are the highest bidder it's sometimes worth contacting the seller and asking him what his reserve is. I've found about 50% are willing to tell you. Andy Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Startrite 352 collection and inverter

Well done, you won't be disappointed. The 352 is around 190cm high and you can't really break it down. What you will be able to do is take the table off - it is held in place on a trunion by 4 bolts (mine are are M6 Allen bolts) and it separates into 2 pieces. You may be able to take the motor...

Some really good wood Drill bits in Lidl this week!

Thanks for the heads up on the wood drill bits. Managed to get the last one in my local store. Tried them today and am very impressed. Wanted to drill a load of 10mm holes and after using a 4mm pilot for the first one switched to just the 10mm for the rest. Went through easily with no tear out...

What accuracy from an EB HC260 planer/thicknesser.

Assuming you have the blades set correctly then you should be able to get slightly better than 0.4mm, maybe down to .2mm, but not much more. A quick way to check the blades are set correctly (At the same height) is the board should go through the thicknesser in a straight line, i.e not pulled...

Elektra Beckum planer HC 260. Help please.

If yours is the old style machine with sprockets in each corner they are difficult to source. You can get them in the UK from one of the Metabo dealers but would advise sending them a photo of what you want. They can then contact Metabo to see if they can source them. I paid about £5 per...
