Circular saw blade for dirty wood with old nails?

FYI: Evolution blades are designed to run at lower rpm than most blades - for use in Evolution saws (which run slower than other machines by design.)

    UJK Multifunction Workbench

have a look at Peter Millard's YouTube channel. i made a handy MFT bench variant based on his portable system. £50 ready-cut top off ebay, off-cuts of recycled mdf pallet box. mine fits over one of those plastic pop-up workbenches, or a pair of trestles. easy n cheap. here's just one of his:

Extractor for a triton tpt 125 thicknesser

Heh heh... I also do the 'curtain' trick - my motorbikes are still blathered in sawdust, gets past the curtain, under all the covers (also old curtains!), So I take 'em outside and blow them off with the air line (neighbours not close enough to be affected ) . Sure is a dusty hobby 😂

Extractor for a triton tpt 125 thicknesser

I do this too. I have the Triton thicknesser also. Initially tried connecting to the DCA300, using the big ol' Vax. Unfortunately this doesn't pull enough as the Thicknesser port blocks up in no time. I now have the Lumberjack 1200 (sorry, no idea if it's any more powerful than the 1100) ...

Plastic veneer / sheet / covering

I'd be thinking more paint for outdoor use. Hammerite? Or sponge/roller a texture into grey paint?

Which Table Saw do I need?

+ one for Evolution Fury or Rage : using original evo blades you can happily rip through reclaimed timber with no fear of odd nails/screws/debris that might still be present. I'm a bit of a fan of Evolution saws (have Rage 5S, bevel chop saw, circular saw and jigsaw) brilliant tools for 'garden'...

Is the opioid death toll a thing in all of western society?

Wandering a bit off - topic : think USA will do what we in UK and some of our neighbours are doing - that is encouraging population growth (consumers) by any means (hence our immigration 'issues'). Closer to topic: I've seen two work colleagues that smoked marijuana (weed/blow) heavily over 20...

Did you know? - Safe Manual Handling Edition

Ideal world 😇. P Poor practices still go on here in UK.. not as bad as those I've seen in India tho' - dear Lord. We'd still be doing it here if it wasn't for our forefathers Unions. Yes, they did have a place once...

    Interesting response from Screwfix

I'd like to see someone getting an FLT sideways in a container with room to push something... Vast majority of boxes goods from Far East arrive stacked directly onto container floor, or at best on a slider tray. Either way, 'hand-ball' is required to stack onto pallets for onward distribution...

Living down here in the south-east, I can say that the clarity of language used certainly conforms to the norm. innit?

    15% eBay discount

Thank you for posting this - just saved £16 purchasing a Dewalt cordless multi-tool. Not a woodwork tool granted, but should be a fine DIY beast of burden (if my battered old Clarke version is anything to go by). Now fighting the demon on my left shoulder who wants to save the max £60 on a Bosch...

Stanley Factory Closes After 25 Years

I understood container shipping (I actually unload these from some countries) from China are heavily subsidised by the PRC government

Stanley Factory Closes After 25 Years

I thought that 'cheap stuff ' was made by slave labour. It is nowhere near as simple as that. My experience is limited to short visit to India and North Africa off the beaten tracks. From what I saw , and speaking to very ordinary people, a job of almost any sort gives purpose, hope,dignity,and...

    Worktop support - advice please

Thank you all very much for all your suggestions and input. I rather think I'm going to go for a 'staged' approach... As my lady is currently using a temporary desk comprising of a 2m length of regular composite laminated 40mm worktop spread over two trestles, I have, as suggested above, parked...

    Worktop support - advice please

Well, I say worktop - I'm intending to utilise a length of 40mm thick Oak kitchen worktop ( the sort made with 40mm staves ) as a desk and occasionally for my lady to use for sewing (ie will be required to support about 15kg of Bernina ). The intended run is 2100mm, I will support both ends and...
