    Hello, If pressed, I would have to say Honey Mesquite is my favourite local wood and Lignum Vitae for an exotic. Of course, there are lots of others that are a pure joy to turn like any of the Rosewoods, Dogwood, Ash, Silver Maple, any burr, Ebony and more... Take care and all the best to you...

    Pine!!!

    Hello Paul, You are to be commended on your Pine goblet! :D Pine can be difficult to turn with a nice finish, but you made it look easy. I rarely turn Pine, but I really like turning Pine burrs. They make excellent pens and bottle stoppers. The colours rival many of the hardwood burrs as well...
