Mitre saw station build. Advice please.

Thanks Jim I plan to add dust extraction for the mitre saw. Got a 3d printed cyclone hooked up to a shop vac (not ideal, but best i can do atm), and will probably have a dedicated one for the mitre saw, at least until i move. One problem i'll have making an enclosure for dust collection is the...

Mitre saw station build. Advice please.

Hi, I'm planning on building myself a mitre saw station as and when time permits. The saw is 26kg. Will 12mm ply or OSB be strong enough for this or would 18mm ply be better? Plan to use pocket holes to fix the "cabinets" together. Was thinking of using 100mm wide strips to connect the sides...

Hi all. Been meaning to redo my workshop (garage) for a long while now, and having recently purchased some new tools, it seems as good a time as any. nowt flash or fancy, but my first bit of "furniture". base for my table saw. not sure if it's a good idea or not, but added dust collection below the saw (via the port at the back [3d printed]). when i get the saw on it i'll draw up a "y" type piece in cad and print it to connect to the main saw...

    Fire Extinguishers?

thanks. the only time anything is in use is if i'm in there, otherwise it's all isolated. had some extinguisher training but not much. think it is going to be wise if i have powder, co2 and water and position them near the stuff that could pose a problem.

    Fire Extinguishers?

thanks. don't have gasses in the workshop at the moment, but do have a gasless welder (upgrade needed) so will probably have gas in it at some point.

    Fire Extinguishers?

Hi, I think i ought to have a fire extinguisher in my workshop. Given that there are wood chips / sawdust and electrical equipment, what would be the right type of extinguisher(s) to have please? Had a look through the info, but i'm still unsure. thanks Chris
