I would recommend the guys over at In Her Hands - Login • Instagram
Could be a great place to get some hands on experience with a range of tutors and learn some good like lessons along the way.
I made something similar to this
https://www.diymontreal.com/miter-saw-dust-collection/
The sliding doors work well with changing the angle of the saw.
I have a LVHP on the back of the saw and an HVLP into the cabinet
I would caution against pocket holes in either 12mm ply or any osb. At 12mm you don’t have much material to screw into. Pockets in osb can be quite weak as the material properties are stacked against you
Have you tried:
- Moving the problem drawer to a different aperture?
- swapping the runners around to narrow down the problem to drawer, runner or cabinet
If you have pallets already, why not reduce the size of them and make a few mini pallets that can be stacked up
A euro pallet is designed to take up to 4000kg static load, 250kg will be more than fine
I don’t have any suggestions for your problem Gordon, but I would be interested to know what you did to improve your dust extraction
I have the same saw and it always leaves a little pile of sawdust in front of the machine
I now have a ply base in the cabinet and use a sheet of magnet backed...
could you carefully cut the piece out, apply adhesive behind then refit the artex.
Having recently moved a stud wall with an artex ceiling it’s amazing how easy it can be to blend bits back in.
