the speed controler is not working and the electronic brake dosent work was great tool not had much use when i got it second hand years ago, will buy a new one if this can not be saved with in reason already spent £70 on it :? cheers

sure is can get it in bandq but think its slightly different to the old stuff, used it on my garden workshop soaks in well rather than the water based ones

hi all was using this other day and stoped blue sparks etc, so took apart armature was burnt looking so got a new one and some brushes, still abit sparky but not as bad and no burning smell but the electronic brake dosent work or the speed controller so my next guess is the controller unit if so...

put it in a bucket of creosote let it soak right in the feet and well coat the rest smell will wear off eventually

look great like the vent idea, did you stick the beads on the glass outside?

they look great, you say you will never do it again..... give it a year or 2 and you will :lol: the end of the day you got them done and they look great. look forward to more pictures

Thanks for the input. I have a filister plane yes they do the job just fine once you get the hang of it. I normally do the raised panels on the bench saw but they need quite a bit of cleaning up after so was just looking around to see if something could do a better job and came across the planes...

hi all, got some xmas and birthday money and thinking of buying one of the above, what are peoples general thoughts on these planes for doing raised panels and rebates ? the jack rebate is very expensive but its it worth it dose look like a nicely thought out plane, but could i do the same jobs...

my current one is they all seem to get heavy have to keep eating my weatabix :lol:

thanks for that :D think i may make something along them lines see how it goes i found some 18mm birch ply today at work just enough for the job, the top will be handy for standing on etc. will report back when ive made it

thanks for the replys i have decided im not spending all that dosh on a tool bag :lol: i think i might make one i have made a few but think i will have another go, key is to keep the box as light as possible i think without compromising the strength. will be back when i have come up with...
