    jet sanding belts

I buy Mirka Avomax 115mm wide rolls/50m from Rest express about £20 a go - they'll make about 20 loadings, so that's about £1 each + long lengths of 40mm strip left over which is ideal for rough sanding on the lathe. Chris.

Hi all Finally set aside some time to put in a ceiling pull cord on the dust extractor, rather than the conveniently sited NVR switch (12" off the ground and at the rear !) There's wires everywhere ! - I'm lost  But, on the back of the NVR terminal block there's a wiring diagram IN:1...

Cyclones - a couple of questions:

Thanks for your reply, Getting that bag out of the way saves space as much as anything and knowing how much dust blocking up the pores of the fibre of the bag lessens suction - I reckon it's got to improve it + the micro dust goes outside ! I thought about putting the bag in the bin - the bin...

Finally got round to assembling the cyclone I got from Cyclone Central months ago and it's got me to wonder about a couple of points ..... The power for the cyclone is a wall mounted Fercell extractor with 6" inlets and outlets. I've quickly tested the cyclone and it seems to work well - now...

    Sycamore - harvesting for timber

I'm afraid, in my experience Sycamore needs to be felled when the 'sap's down' - January/February, then milled almost immediately and end reared with plenty of air circulation. I took some summer cut and milled Sycamore some years back and sticked it - all of it turned out dirty - grey streaks...

    Latest Pen:

The colours should have been more white and quartz looking, problem is I didn't paint the barrels/holes and the cap for instance has a tube which is about 14.5mm diameter and it shows through a bit. Would probably been better if I'd painted the holes black. Chris. Oh and the blanks came from...
