I have had my router for a couple of years now and had only used it on site whilst out working, now I have retired I thought I might have a go at inlaying some timber, I'm confused somewhat at what I need to add to my router to do this, I've looked at many video's on how to do this but can't...

Guys I have a Makita 2704 table saw with the standard blade in it that came with the machine, it's getting a little dull, can anybody recommend a good blade for this machine, the blade is a 260x30mm, I'm cutting mostly hardwood with it, a little softwood and ply as well. Cheers Gary

I've just ordered a iTECH 260S, I need to make up a base similar to the example posted by Mooose, can somebody let me know the measurements of the base, I have contacted S&S but they do not have anything in stock to be able to measure for me. Much appreciated Gary

Thanks for the confirmation, here's another, I think it's probably another piece of iroko, it's just so much darker than the other pieces I have.

I'm still going through the timber I have bought, not really having a great grounding in identifying Hardwoods having spent my whole life as a builder I hope I can continue to pose a few questions regarding species, I think this is Oak, if so which type do you think it is and is it flat sawn or...

One more guys, I think this is teak but I'm not sure, it has a very smooth and oily feel to it, quite dense but seems easy to work with.

I buy quite a bit of reclaimed timber from reclamation yards, I have an opportunity to buy some more of this, its approx 3"x 1" and around 3m long but with a few small nail holes in every 16" or so, I'm presuming it was used for flooring of some kind. Thanks Gary

I'm presuming it's some kind of mahogany, I've ruled out Sepele as it doesn't have the density, so I'm presuming either Brazilian, Honduras or one of the African mahoganies, any help would be appreciated. Cheers Gary
