Im sorry I wouldn't know as I've only ever used it with a nailer/stapler.
I would imagine that it might struggle to keep up with a sander as it's only got a 3.8 ltr tank.

Yes I've used the Rockwool Flexi Slabs in the past and was pleased with their overall performance.
Go for the thickest slab insulation you can accommodate.
For what it's worth (and that's not a lot!), I usually level the plinth up with wedges or plastic shims and then plug and screw the plinth to the wall/s.
Read the online reviews for the Makita saw Bob.
They mostly don't sing it's praises.
The reviews i read a while back were mainly complaining of issues with table flatness.
I can't think of a suitable tape.
But would some sort of cover moulding (half round or D-shape) be suitable which could be overpainted?
