Superglue - variable quality & what do you use it for?

Lets not go there Wizer - I thought of that photograph as soon as I mentioned it - still gives me a shiver or two  You are back in one 'flexible' piece now I hope?

Superglue - variable quality & what do you use it for?

First invented for gun sights apparently, then all the other uses followed - with First Aid in Vietnam the main one people remember Blow em apart then stick em together I guess

Superglue - variable quality & what do you use it for?

First Aid definitely . . . Seals a cut instantly, stays flexible, doesn't sting, waterproof and by the time it works out and off, the cut is healed - worked a treat on quite a deep slice from a Planer blade a few months ago. Blood everywhere, quick press to stop it momentarily, then...

Maybe you'll pick this one up somewhere Byron - try for Calgary or Edmonton (Calgary for the better time!) . . . Lee Valley stores in both and full of goodies- neither is that far from you in Canuck miles anyway  Ski a lot if the slopes are ready yet - party a lot either way, have a...

Who said bespoke woodwork doesn't pay?

I started out that way; thinking that no one would pay what I considered a worthwhile price, but as Marcus said - they are out there and they will pay. You'd be surprised who buys pieces, where they are and who they are! On the other hand, I've never based my prices on an hourly rate. My...

    Tool Price Inflation

Well prices have gone up and will no doubt continue to do so. The exchange rate doesn't have a dramatic effect on goods bought from the States (if any at all) as the prices are set when Catalogues are published and stock is bought in. It would be a little impractical otherwise  The...

    grand father clock

Hi Andy One of the best ways to learn before you put tool to wood, is to get your hands on one of the good Clock repair books. One that I used to use a lot was Making and Repairing Wooden Clock Cases by Taylor & Babb They detail the construction techniques. materials and the critical...

    Allegiance??

No regrets necessary Mark - I think it strayed off a little somewhere along the line after your first post

    Allegiance??

Spot on Gill. There are better things to do than snipe at other users, forums or choices. Each to their own, but the object of them all is to ask for and to give advice when asked; on whatever forum it may be . . .

    best router for worktops

I've helped a friend do several using the Hitachi M12V2 - 110 Volts. A true 'Beast' but it sure handles the work! Everyone has their preferences and you probably won't go far wrong with any of the big names.
