    Flanged bushing search

I've got some Gorilla glue. I shall try it. If the Gorilla glue, above, doesn't work, I may take you up on your offer. Thanks

I have no idea. A possible fault in the metal? Thanks, I have seen it. The thing is that I have bought a new one already. I was just thinking of fixing this one and giving it to my son-in-law.

    Flanged bushing search

FYI, I found the housing assembly that contains the bushing in the Spanish B&D website. €4.95 - Excellent but they won't ship to the UK. I'll send it to a friend in Germany, who can forward it to me. Postage to Germany, €20 add tax for a total of €30 and then it has to be posted here and then...

Actually, it looks like dark steel I lived in Germany when I registered on this forum but now I'm in Kent, UK. Stupidly, I missed that one measurement. I shall have to dismantle it again and check. gcusick and ChaiLatte, thanks for the info.

    Flanged bushing search

A bushing has broken in my Black and Decker KS531 jigsaw. My two options are find and replace the bushing or throw an otherwise perfectly good jigsaw away. The latter makes me cringe, the state of the Earth and we are throwing valuable resources away. The problem is Black and Decker do not sell...

    Tool Identification Please

That's what a couple of friends suggested but they said that the teeth should be able to move whereas this is fixed. It is very possible that that is what it is as the teeth are scratched. Anyway, thanks.

    Tool Identification Please

I've asked my FB friends with no results so now I shall ask the people with the knowledge. Can you identify this tool? It has a part number on it - 569100 - I've tried to research it but no luck. Thanks.

    Bearing replacement help needed

Mission accomplished as suggested. Thanks very much. Now all I have to do is find the bolt that I dropped two inches from the wooden floor and which has completely disappeared.

    Bearing replacement help needed

I think there is a break in the cloud. So with the housing upside down from what the drawing shows, the reason for moving the spacer is so I can get to the inner race of bearing 4a and then keep moving the spacer around so I can tap all around. Thank you all very much. As soon as the...

    Bearing replacement help needed

@woodfarmer - There is a circlip in between the two bearings, which is causing a nuisance. A slow learner here. a) When you say "That spacer is narrower than the bearings." do you mean in diameter or actual metal thickness? b)" lever the spacer off centre" - so when I'm looking through the...

    Bearing replacement help needed

New member here and my first posting so please be gentle with me. :) I'm about to replace the bearings in the three blades of my mower. Below is one of the bearing housings. Items 4 are the two bearings and 5 is a spacer between the two. I can't for the life of me figure out how to extract...

    Dewalt DW50 P/T Manual?

I took the switch/contactor unit apart, and although the contactor inside appears to be a completely sealed plastic unit, I forced some air through it. Put it all back, same problem. Decided to go the old fashioned route - pressed the ON switch a few times in rapid succession and off it went...
