Are EV's good value? Apparently not!

No. When coal is mined it doesn't leave a void, the seam collapses as soon as it's unsupported as the mechanical props move forward. There are potential uses for other types of disused mines, but generally it's for geothermal power.

Considering dipping toe into 3d printing so what do you think of this one?

As someone who has spent the last few years looking into this and finally clicked ‘BUY’ before Easter, here’s my thoughts having had a Creality CR10SE delivered yesterday and spent the last 24hrs printing like mad; There’s broadly three issues with 3D printing/CNC. 1 Design: Unless you’re just...

    Banggood, VAT, import duties

I wouldn't worry much, I've not read of any non-deliveries via Banggood yet. It might take a little longer some previous experiences due to some shipping avoiding the Suez canal at the moment though.

    Banggood, VAT, import duties

Best of luck getting a VAT receipt out of the system, but otherwise a decent way to get Chinese kit reliably without any added costs. Note the delivery times aren't quick, but everything I've ordered has arrived earlier than promised.

    parkside pillar drill

I assume this is one of those tricks eBay dealers use to keep a listing open without having to pay repeat fees. When they sell out, increase the price to something no one will pay, but listing continues for free until they get stock back in.

Yes its a chisel but whats it for and called?

I don't think it's a chisel at all, there's no cutting edge. I'd suggest it's a pry for removing tacks etc when re-upholstering. I'm sure I've seen something similar in an upholstery workshop.

    Saw stop ( USA )

For the hard of understanding it means; "You've just written something that proves you don't understand what you're talking about." Not for the first time, sadly it's unlikely to be the last time either :-(

Wow, that from you ? It ought to be embarrassing to be called out so often in a thread

    Saw stop ( USA )

Please have the courtesy to comment on what I wrote, not your prejudices; "braking assist technology" The key word in my comment was 'assist' things like emergency brake assist, Smart City Brake Support, anti lock brakes etc.

Say something that says you've never driven a modern car with brake assist technology......

    Saw stop ( USA )

Do you think that happens more widely ? Do people drive assuming that the braking assist technology will stop them having a crash etc ? For that matter would people really trust the technology of saw stop enough to take serious risks ?
