I have a solid brass Stanley lever cap any ideas on this. I cannot find any information about its manufacture by Stanley. There is a solid brass frog that comes along with this. 4/12 plane. No stamp or marks on the frog or the sole of the plane very thick cast iron.
I have a few 1950/1960 record planes that need paint. What’s the best blue paint to use. Looking for the closest shade of blue for the era of these planes. Cheers
I have a USA made Stanley plane no 4 with the most god awful green paint on the lot of it What is the safest way of getting the paint off. I as thinking nitromorze but don’t want to damage the metal. Please advise. Thanks
