Evening all. I've just put up some Roman blinds and came to screw in the cleat and realised I was screwing into the box that houses the weights. Is that likely to cause a problem? Will screwing into a corner be safer to ensure screws dont catch weights? Any other clever solutions out there? All...

That's exactly why I was asking! Is furniture board/laminated pine a non-starter? The vibe I get is painted white gloss. Any advice on fixings? Previously I've always done shelves in some form of carcass so fixing into timber. What would you guys use to fix in brick?
