I use a dust collector (4" hose) directly behind the piece being sanded. You can watch the ribbon of dust being sucked into the hose. I also have a 750cfm air filter up on the ceiling avove the lathes. I still get some dust flying around so I wear a resperator as well. Tom

I too am recovering from a push stick incident. I was using a plastic push stick (Came with a saw) with some hickory. The stick just touched the saw blade and exploded into many pieces. Needless to say the hickory got loose and went flying ... into me :( End result ... I still find parts of...

Hi Ed. Good question. It depends if you are in a hurry or a patient person. CA (medium or thick) seems to be the glue of choice by production types (almost instant cure with accellerant) and polyurathane has to be left over night to cure. Poly is supposed to be more flexible with weather...
