Spindle Moulder Tooling for Sash Windows

Thank you for the very detailed reply. I did look at the Trend system, but it looked to be more aimed at modern style windows and large glazing rebates for double glazing. - I also believe they have stopped making it now. The stacked blocks sounds like a good solution for the mould and rebate in...

Spindle Moulder Tooling for Sash Windows

Thanks Johnny, With those blocks, is it possible to get the mould and glazing rebate in the right position and cut them at the same time? The cuttters I currently use create an 8.4mm mould, including quirk, and I cut the glazing rebate the same depth. (I hope that makes sense!) Thanks Jacob...

Spindle Moulder Tooling for Sash Windows

I don't mind investing a bit of money if it is going to do a good job and make things quicker. Just struggling to find exactly what i need.

Spindle Moulder Tooling for Sash Windows

I make quite a few replacement sashes for sash windows that are being renovated. 95% of them are an Ovolo moulding and I have a router cutter from Wealden Tools that is a pretty decent match for most of the windows i am replicating. I do moulding, scribing and rebating on the router table at...

I know some modern table saws are based on the Kity. Does anyone know if one of these riving knives might fit??

    Kity 1619 Riving Knife

Does anyone know where i can buy a riving knife (and crown guard) that would fit onto a Kity 1619 table saw? Failing that, does anyone have one they wouldn't mind taking a picture of so i can fabricate one? Thanks, Mark

    Workshop roof - Steel sheets.

Thanks Ian, I will take you up on that. I am trying to decide about the roof insulation at the moment. If I am using 150x50 rafters, can I full fill them with 150mm insulation as long as I use breathable membrane and create an air gap by using battens above the membrane for the roofing...

    UPVC exterior door stop?

You can get concealed restrictors that fit to the top of the door. I will see what I can find... https://www.ironmongerydirect.co.uk/pro ... NwEALw_wcB They range in price from £4 - £40! Or you can get surface mounted ones... https://www.absolutehardware.co.uk/pr/s ... tiEALw_wcB

    Oh, simple! Thanks.

    Workshop roof - Steel sheets.

Does that airgap need to be between the insulation and membrane, or can the insulation fill the rafters and an air gap be made between the membrane and steel sheet by using cross battens? I thought I might get picked up on that, but after a quick google didn't find a more appropriate term to...

    Workshop roof - Steel sheets.

Hopefully you'll get some useful information too! Thanks Mike, Would you say the OSB deck is necessary, or could I just counter batten? With regards to the residential conversion - that sounds like a really good idea, unfortunately I did that work a couple of years ago! (with long screws!)

    Workshop roof - Steel sheets.

Does anyone here have any experience using steel roofing sheets? I am building a new workshop at home. it is following the basics of Mikes brilliant plan with a concrete base and 220mm high brick plinth, 4x2 walls etc. It will have a shallow lean-too roof which I plan to cover with steel box...

A little help on costing this project?

I’ve been doing this type of work for about 15 years and I still always under price my work. The big mistake I make is charging what I think is a reasonable amount that I would pay. But then I have all the tools, equipment, experience, skills and design abilities that have taken 15 years and...
