    Certainly a hell of thing... Looks to me, like the blade tension of that machine is via the wheel that you can see in the photo hanging down from the top wheel. Unless you mean some sort of sidewards tensioner?

    I had one of these wadkins bandsaws up until recently, it was pushed off of the trailer onto the spot where it laid for about 5 years with the customary tarpaulin over it. Couldnt shift the thing, so ended up smashing it to pieces with a sledge hammer and taking it to the local scrap yard.

    Aha, i see said the blind man! Yep, needs loads of suck and not much flow, tried the dust extractor, but it runs out of steam pretty quick. Oh well, back to the original plan........

    Right, firstly i am thick. So can someone explain to me what this cyclone thing is and how does it work? I'm guessing some kind of dust extractor, but what powers it? How much vacuum will it pull in units of mercury? I am after a powerfull vacuum, not for this application but for vacuum...

    Nothing wrong with being old :D I got mine for free :shock: Had to buy a new motor and switch though, to convert to single phase. edited: tried to put an image of it up, but it wont work!
