    FAO restorers. HELP!!!

    Tony, correct me if i am wrong but looking at the third photo, the end grain appears to be laid the same way instead of alternate. The boards should be laid with end grain alternate so as to counteract any movement, if they are not you should have a clear case for compensation.

    hello, i agree with comments above,but check out your existing floor for creaky boards ,loose nails etc before starting the job.Isometimes lay the underlay across the boards, and the lami with the boards but this depends on the room size and of course window position as Manny points...

    i have just joined the site after browsing for some time. and i must say i am impressed with the work i have seen. I have no workshop at the moment ,but am in the planning stage of a new one, so i hope to contribute in the near future. In the meantime i will contribute in the threads when i can.
