I've been making a few different types of wall and mantle clocks of late. Here's one I made for a pressie for one of my mums carers who owns some horses. Made from some 200mm Sapele left over from my workshop door project during the summer. The clock face and horse's head is laser engraved onto...
Very nice, brilliant idea! Can I ask, what size is it roughly? I've been making a few clocks and I laser engrave the clock face onto the wood. I've used both the 38mm hands for a 90mm clockface and 70mm for a 150mm clockface.
I'm trying to get a bit of time in the workshop. Its seldom I get to make a piece for our monthly chapter challenge. Got a few hours in over the weekend and got a piece done for this months challenge, a ceiling rose.

Only got an hour in the workshop today, got some pen blanks prepped and one of the bog oak ones finished. Hope to do one or 2 with celtic knots in them.
I've only recently bought the 320 as an upgrade to my 30yr old draper. Very very happy with it. Variable speed, reverse and is solidly built. Packs plenty of weight too but my lathe bench is a 10" x 6" block of timber bolted onto 2 electricity poles bedded in concrete. I also got the bed...
