Spent 20 years in the Royal Navy as a mechanical engineer, most of my carear spent in Submarines. Medically Discharged in 1994 following a Road Traffic Accident which left me unfit to go to sea again.
Worked as a self employed signmaker after that for about 10 years before getting CFS in about 2006.
Last few years I have been able to work a little part time making hardwood gifts, lots of fun & it helps keep me occupied on days that I am able to do something.
I run a CNC machine that does a lot of the work for me, I have also added a number of other pieces of equipment such as a band saw & drum sander all aimed at taking some of the manual work out which allows me to do more.
Always looking to learn more which is why I joined the forum
