Do as Jacob says. I cross cut the wood to approximate length and include some waste. I then join the wood alternating the grain to avoid bowing, then cut again with table saw. Slight work is then all that is needed to finish by plane/sanding. :lol:

Just a quick update. I went for the leigh, set it up today and will try it out sometime this week.
Will let you all know what I think when I hae used it, but from just having it setup it looks pretty impressive jig.

This is my first posting! :D Anyway need some advice - I want to buy a jig for making dovetails etc but not sure what to go for have about £400 to spend. I have a home made router table which is 38"x26" (see pic) and like the look of the incra ultra jig and sounds like you can do a lot...
