Recenty rescused from my Dads workshop, this lightly used Kity Bestcombi wood working centre is for sale. Its in pretty good condition, uses a standard 240V plug. Solar battery charger

I have used one of these for my motorcycle for years. Although its not classed as waterproof, I have hung it on a fence and it has lived through some terrible downpours. I keep meaning to wrap a clear bag over it but havent got round to it. Uses clips to attach to the battery.

    Car cleaning/valeting

Spend some time cleaning the wheels and tyres, it really adds the overall appearance of the car. Use a stiff brush on the wheels and try and get between the spokes.Get some 'wheel cleaner' from Halfords. Use some 'tyre shine' to bring the tyres back to a new appearance. Once the body has been...

Solar panels: do they save money?

Our meter also ran backwards. Our new build (Taylor Wimpey) had saved some cash by using recon meters - these had no backstop so when energy was fed in from the PV, the meter went backward. What started out as a neat parlour trick, eventually started to wear me down, as I was having to cook the...

Advice regarding an eBay purchase (this is a current problem, so advice today is required- if possible)

Ebay have been great at sorting out any disputes I have had. The buyer has a lot of power. If you can get the item elsewhere, ask for a full refund as not sold as described and move on.

Solar panels: do they save money?

I dont think you would add value to the house but it would be an incentive to a potential buyer if you were able to demonstrate the savings you had been making. I have had a 4kW PV array for 8 years and love it, supplies all the power I need during the day and heats my water (via the immersion...

Storage wall (set of shelves and drawers)

Great storage boxes and even better outdoor pics! I can recommend getting those twin monitors off the desktop onto a wall or lift them up on a shelf which is much easier. Allows you to park the keyboard underneath then and gives you a desk back to work on.

Great work Steve, I have longed to make some of these for ages and your clear pictures and descriptions have inspired me to start getting some wood together. Thanks for the time you put into this.
