    I've bought a Woodrat

Try post #16 with my WeTransfer link. People outside the UK should have no access problems with Zippyshare.

    I've bought a Woodrat

OK. It would appear that the UK and Germany block access to Zippyshare... they just assume everything on that site must be illegal! The two files can be downloaded from this Wetransfer link for the next 7 days: WeTransfer - Aldel's WoodRat website

    I've bought a Woodrat

Eh? That's weird. I just checked them and it works for me. Have literally only just uploaded them - maybe try again in a minute.

    I've bought a Woodrat

I made a very rough and ready copy of Aldel's website many years ago (12 it would appear!) and turned it into a pdf. Everything that was ever on his site is in this document. I also have some extras that were printed in Routing Magazine that Woodrat users may find useful. They are a bit too big...

    Pocket hole screw question

Spax Hi•Force screws are absolutely fantastic for construction work. They are indestructible, I have never snapped a head, their clamping force is immense. I use nothing else for super strong mechanical fixings. Only trouble is.... the pan head is 13mm. I don't know if Kreg HD are different but...

Does epoxy have a shelf life?

It can last, in a useable state, a remarkably long time. WEST has this to say: "Storage and shelf life With proper storage, WEST SYSTEM 105 Epoxy Resin and hardeners should remain usable for many years, especially if the containers are kept closed in order to prevent contamination. Over time...

    Spindle motors

If you must have a router table sized motor (no space for a real spindle moulder?) then the best industrial quality motors I feel are from Suhner in Germany. If you want it mounted in a router table the Sauter Router Lift is the best lift I have ever seen. Way better than the over engineered...

    My mate Billy

That's all right Bob, I understand your situation. I just wanted to make sure anyone who saw your Billy snacking on a flake didn't think that was normal. A lot of people are not aware of the simple things that dogs should avoid. All the best.

    My mate Billy

I would like to point out for all of you with a furry four-legged friend, chocolate is POISONOUS for dogs. There is no safe limit and should never be fed to dogs. The same applies to raisins and grapes. There are a number of things dogs should avoid including onion, but chocolate and grapes are...

Is 'Furniture & Cabinetmaking' magazine well regarded?

Given a choice, I would take a review of a Felder Combi over a catalogue excerpt of Ryobi Laser range finders or spirit levels.

Is 'Furniture & Cabinetmaking' magazine well regarded?

I let my subscription lapse a while back for a few reasons; a) The page count dropped from 96 to 80, yet the price stayed the same. b) 25 out of 80 pages are adverts. c) at least another 10 pages are advertorials (or "reviews" ...ha!) d) several more pages are padded out with pointless...

Rome wasn't built in a day

Didn't see the programme, but a pole with a cross and five plumb bobs is called a "Groma". They are dead easy to make and if used properly, almost as accurate as a modern laser. Google is your friend.
