Hi all, I started scrolling (and woodwork generally) towards the end of last year - I'm really enjoying the planning and cutting itself and I've since been able make a few pieces that I've been pleased with - some templated puzzles and some home-designed vehicles (train in progress).

Based on the suggestions and links I've managed to get hold of a Workzone scrollsaw locally (still one of the "your brand here" models but less than retail price and a more sensible entry point...

Absolutely agree with you there Steve, my starting projects are all rough pieces that can be unsightly and wonky and cheap so that I can build the skills without too much fear of error. I'll keep in mind comparing specialists and generalists like Wickes, thanks
