Long Time Missing from the forum

Near the end of May this year I suffered what they called a mini heart attack. I guess if you have a heart attack & it doesn't kill you it is called a mini. Anyhow I was put through many tests including injection of dye followed by x-ray of the heart. The cardiologists decided they had no choice...

You know you're getting old when...

Actually, you do not have to worry until you notice in the newspaper obituaries that more than 50% are younger than you.

    my new side gate

Heck....the easy way to fix a sagging gate is to run an eyebolt into the hinge post & another one to the top of the outer corner to the gate. Join the two eyebolts with a steel cable & turn buckle. Tighten the cable until the sag is removed. End of problem. Lee

I then ran a gas line from the house to the garage & used a small radiant heater to heat the entire 24 x 26...

    tool guarantees

Makes me smile. Black & Decker own DeWalt which they purchased the tool line from American Machine & Foundry in the early 1960's. Since then the Black & Decker tool line has steadily declined in quality. I don't think they have designed & marketed anything original since. If they want to expand...

G'day to everyone from An Aussie Toy maker/Designer

Welcome to the forum Roger. Aside from household maintenance projects, wooden toys are about the only thing I turn out in my shop these days. Im getting old and slow so I have trouble producing my usual 12 to 14 toys annually which are donated at Christmas to children of needy families. After 16...

    Garden Structures

Adzeman: So many people think that their woodworking hobby must turn out furniture & the point of my post was that much pleasure & sense of accomplishment can be derived using construction type lumber in building items for the garden. I also built an arbor leading to our front door to indicate...
