    Mahogany veneer identfication

    For lippings I often glue 3 sheets of veneer together to form a 1.8mm sheet . Then rip the glued up sheet down into strips. You get perfect match for colour and grain . Cheers Jon

    interwood router

    Can't really help with the technical details but mine has a changeover switch that switches between 16 and 24k revs which presumably changes the frequency changer like Bob says Cheers Jon

    Hi Phil it's pretty much as you guessed a 10.75mm groove for 10mm glass . There is a deeper groove in the handrail to allow for getting them in . Cheers Jon

    Yes always makes a nice staircase oak I prefer the European variety. The glass is 10mm toughened heat soaked. I'm not sure what the heat soaking does but it was specced. All gaps to meet the less than 100mm sphere test, Cheers Jon

    thermoforming corian?

    The manufactures of the heating bars used in the solid surface industry is elkom see here http://www.elkomuk.co.uk/heating/ Mine is about 1200mm long and was pretty expensive for what it is but it does the job well. You can get them from the Corian distributors CDUK in Leeds Cheers jon

    A new collection of planes

    Planes 11 and 12 probably the most recent and normal ones a record 075 and unknown 75 possibly a stanley Plane 13 a heavy cast infill plane with mahogany stuffing No makers names on this one . The iron has a cap iron unlike the other bigger infill. There is pharaoh brand stamped on the...
