I got this reply from DMT: I have only seen one online advice not to use softer metals (softer than hardened steel) on a diamond stone.

Round mallets are for carving where the angle of the chisel or gouge is constantly changing. Rectangular mallets are for chopping mortices, ie carpentry/woodwork/joinery.

I read that softer metals like brass, iron, and laminated blades should not be used on diamond stones because the abraded particles will clog the stone and cannot be be removed. Does anyone have any knowledge or opinion on that ?

Mine has a fault, the bed is not in line with sole, you have to sharpen the the blade with a skew and it ends up skew in the plane.

I would get some Arkansas sharpening stones.

Yes, small Lidl pull saw, came with 2 blades, £8 Lidl diamond needle files, 8 or 10 for under £5. Aldi/Lidl chisels, giveaway price of £2 each or less. I haven't seen them in Lidl/Aldi for years. Lidl still do the pull saws but they are not the same.

Two annoying things: speaking with a creaky voice, where people try to lower their speaking voice pitch by so much that that their voice starts to creak, also called vocal fry, upspeak, where the pitch goes up at the end of phrases as if it's a question but it's not.

They are electric assist bikes, they still need to be pedalled. Legally, they are classed as pedal cycles. Electric bikes which are controlled by a throttle and which don't need to be pedalled are motor vehicles and are subject to to the same regulations as a motorbike.
