    Round timber

Personally, I'd be asking if anybody near by could knock them up on a lathe for me. If you're not in a rush then you should be able to get 4 legs that are pretty darn similar doing it by hand. Hand work is great in this current weather as it warms you up a tad :)

Watch your credit card statements, chaps

It's a pita being cardless. Last time it happened to me I resolved to always keep one card unused in the safe just incase. I now always have access to a card regardless of what happens - same with SWMBO. Last year she had her purse lifted in London. Phoned the auto cancellation stuff we have and...

THIS IS HOW FAR SS HAS GOT.

Given mine a little shake but no idea what it is. It's currently sat taunting me under the tree.

Indeed, I can't understand why people insist on collection. I've contacted them to get the details for the courier.

It's a few hand drills and a plane (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0730961768) I'd completely forgotten all about the item, which is typical as I was in Wales a few weeks back. With the weather as it is at the moment I've no intention of venturing anywhere where it's been snowing...

    qiangsheng plane youtube video

Being from the same manufacturing plant means absolutely diddly squat. The Chinese WILL alter specifications (tolerances etc) as their customer requires. It MIGHT look the same, MIGHT be made of the same metals, but that DOESNOT mean that it is made to the same specifications. Not that it...

    Felt drawer (box) lining

I use a pritt stick - but I suppose it depends on how much area you need to cover.

    My new identity

I'd have to disagree. A #1 ranking can bring a heck of a lot of traffic - compared to even a #2 or #3. Content and SEO go hand in hand. You won't get the best out of your website if you don't have both together - depending on what keywords you want/need to rank for. As far as keywords go, it's...

Latest kit to have wheels - sawbench

Vinny, are the castors lockable - I can't see any locks on the front one.

Just discovered I was using the plane wrong..

Like Richard, I've put the chainsaw blade on the wrong way on numerous occasions - you soon realise when it doesn't cut much though. I always test a chainsaw on a small bit of wood before using it in anger.

    Secret Santa Allocation

bsm, now that's a good idea - 2 months is enough time for yours to go back and forth about 10 times :)

What a difference a blade makes

I bought some blades off Ian way back in spring. Just managed to get around to fitting one. Wow - my little table top delta bandsaw is like a different machine.

    minor gloat

got this delivered today. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0549137909 to my eye it's in pretty good condition. needs a little cleaning up but not much. All teeth are preset and it's straight :) on another note, just went through a few saws father in law gave me a couple of years...

    22u 19" Server Rack Phase 1

Those were the days. I can remember getting away with having a rack in my office (no way swmbo would allow it now). Was amazing watching the electricity meter wizzing round when the whole lot was powered up - there was an old cisco5000 in the bottom though which I'm convinced used enough power...
