    Jointer knife setting jig

Hi guys. I have a sip 01344 planer thicknesser and am fed up with the steel rule method of setting the knives. I have seen the Woodstock jointer jig. Do any of you have experience with it or an alternative? Cheers Jim Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk

    Broken tenon repair

Hi guys, I've made some oak doors and have a tenon that was cracked "I didn't realise" glued it all up and it has seperated as in the photo. I've tried Titebonding and clamping but it separated again. I thought about a small Dutchman but I need it invisible really cause it's for a customer :/...

    Wood I.D

Sand to 180 and id use liberon clear wax. They're new formula is really easy to apply. Unless of course you want to go darker then they have a nice selection.

    Cupping suggestions!!

Hi guys, anyone know how I can get a 5mm cup out of this 30mm thick table top which is 600mm long. It's in kiln dried pine and has just decided to give me a headache. I have biscuited 6 pieces of 100mm wide and we're all jointed perfectly. I've doweled the legs on. Thanks Jim

    Wood I.D

Chestnut. To loose for ash and oak. Definitely not cherry. Also doesn't have the distinctive oak lines.

    Briquette making

Hi, does anyone know of a cheap solution to making briquettes from my old wood chip to heat the workshop. They all seem expensive but I was wondering if there is a cheaper alternative. Jim

    Antique Chair ID

Hi everyone. I've just been given the task of repairing the frame of this chair. Apparently when it was reupholstered 10-20 years ago there was a newspaper clipping dated 1840 stuffed in with the horse hair. Can anyone shed any light on what it's history or purpose was? As far as I can tell it...
