How about using full extension Accuride style (bearing) runners? These could be set in a slight rebate to keep the frame close to the wall. If the wall was a bit lumpy, you could use a frame on top of a frame with a design detail to conceal any join. A frame with a large back bevel would best...

The Mirka hose and connector is exactly the same as the Festool design (sans the green highlight on the hose) the hose is even tapered so I suspect it's made in the same factory but sold for a third of the price...an advantage over the Festool design is the rubber connector can be easily screwed...

Out of interest, How did they fail? I've manage to tweak the unit by opening some holes in the circuit board to slide/ move the sensors back. Cheers Jim
