    Spraying leyland acrylic primer undecoat

Evening, Leyland acrylic primer undercoat is my go to for many things, applying with brush roller. I’ve a graco airless sprayer and want to use the leyland but it’s brush and roll according to leyland. Anyone put this through an airless sprayer? I’ve seen contradicting info from leyland...

    Worktop joins with 1/4” router

I don't see how you can avoid buying a 1/2'' router. You'll need it to cut the mitres. I got an Erbauer from SF when I did my kitchen.

    Pogačar or Vingegaard? Spoiler Alert

The first couple of stages will be carnage so lets see who's still standing early next week. On paper i'd say Vin has the edge due to Poggy's injury.

    Thicknesser question

I've got the Makita 2012. No complaints. As others have touched on, you also need either a jointer or a table saw to machine your stock. The thicknesser alone wont really do.

    Power tools

Fwiw I’ve got a few ryobi tools, namely a 18ga nailer, recip saw, angled drill, combi and impact. They’ve been used professionally on occasion the past few years and some quite quickly showed the strain. the recip saw trigger is on the way out and the drills sound a bit funky. The nailer is...

Using Railway Sleepers and concrete for shed base

I built my shed / workshop on a concrete base. If I did it again Id use the system Oakwood Gardens Rooms uses on YouTube. I really like the way he does it. Take a look. Basically thread rod in concrete piles then a timber frame on top.

    A dilemma of skirting boards

Buy them, install and get on with your life. Unless you want to make them for fun, in which case enjoy. I’ve been there with a renovation and you can get bogged down saving relative pennies here and there.

Sold Festool Domino DF500 and Domino Assortment Systainer

Evening, I'm selling my Festool Domino DF500 (574327) 240v and domino systainer (498899). Purchased in Feb 2021 after a steady trickle of bespoke furniture inquiries (my primary business is property maintenance), however, I hated the installations so I pulled back sharpish!!! I have proof of...

    Budget shop vac

I got mine for free too. Turned up at a job and their Henry was outside in the pouring rain next to the bins. I took it home, really just for the hose, and left it in my workshop for a few weeks. I gingerly went to turn it on just out of interest and it worked. It just had a massive...

Festool CTL CLEANTEC MIDI Dust Extractor

I’ve got one of these. It’s good but I’ve also found my bag fills lopsided. Not sure if it makes any difference as it eventually fills. Currently got an issue I’ll have to send it back to festool to look at. The red light comes on for no apparent reason and it cuts out. A good tool tool...
