Does this one seem kosher ?

Our ETS sander failed 3 months after warranty expires, fixed by Festool in 4 days free of charge. Fantastic service in my opinion. Sander was used for 4/5 hours per day 5 days a week and we would have been happy to pay

    Felder/Hammer Sale

Couldn't disagree more. We have 3 Format 4 machines (Thicknesser, sander and spindle) and 2 Felders (Saw and spindle) and all of them have been excellent. Not quite as good as the martin but significantly cheaper. Much better than the SCM's in the same price range

Thinking of buying a OX CNC kit

I bought one just before Christmas and I'm loving it so far. Nice and straightforward to build and so far has good accuracy. What CAD package are you planning to use with it?

Making skirting / door case / architrave?

Cost of 120mm PAR oak, from us is £5.75 + VAT per meter. Cost of rough sawn using your figures is around £4.50 + VAT depending on wastage. Over 500 meters you would save £625, and machining would probably take you around 2 days. Is that £625 enough reward for 2 days work when you include the...

    W16 at NEC

They looked the best built of the ones I looked at. I was also very impressed by the engineers, both guys really seemed to know the product. They were quoting 3 weeks for our briquette maker to be delivered so not too long to wait. We are going to have to wait until late December for the...

    W16 at NEC

We went with the compacto Fox 60 in the end, German made, good quality and very good pricing. They also do a shredder, but didn't look at it in any detail as we don't need one.

When did the world go mad for Festool?

I am a firm Festool fan, and we have dozens of their machines in the workshop. However i wouldn't buy one if i was a hobbiest. The whole idea behind Festool is that they are professional grade machines designed and priced for professional users. As others in the thread have said, the time saving...
