Sorry, just to confirm I'm referring to the DWE7485 not the Axe. I'd ruled that out due to the fence system.
Judging by the other thread just posted, and the reviews on their site, I'm not the only one with reservations in that area. Just couldn't justify the extra cash for something that...
Just to check back in on the angle setting. There's an adjustable stop on both the 90 and 45 settings that you can dial in. Takes all the guess work out of setting the blade correctly. Mine locks bang on once this stop is set.
Just to check back in, I received my saw yesterday and got it checked over. Can confirm that the table is flat on mine. The saw was also very close to being accurate out of the box. For my use I'll go through the various alignments to get it dialed perfectly, but I suspect many would be happy...

I thought most of the big cabinet saws tended to go right...
I don't have any direct experience of it. Just from reading reviews on their website that mention some shortcomings. To me I don't see how a fence that only attaches at one end can avoid some deflection.
There's an upgrade fence on the site, at least I think it's the one mentioned. It's called...
I'll keep an eye on mine too, re table flatness, apparently it's arriving Monday.
I looked at the axeminster, and although the cast iron top and induction motor were appealing the fence didn't look very good to me. All to similar a design to those you get on cheap saws. If be interested to...
For what it's worth, I just picked up the 240v version of this today for £400 on the well known auction site. The retailer is FFX. I'll let you know how I get on with the angle setting. It's rare that I need to change away from 90 degree cuts, so as long as it's doable it will still be a massive...
