    Sourcing a plastic/nylon cog

They probably need to be printed with a resin printer, so take that in mind.

    Car pressure washers

Get yourself something called TFR (traffic film remover) TFR . This is the stuff proper valeters use, not those youtube fannies with their snowfoam. You need to be very careful with it as it can ruin your car if you don't get it right. But this stuff will take all the rubbish off the wheels...

Ah, nice one, I didn't realise you could do that! Thanks for that!

    8.A New toy

It's all a personal choice on what you feel best with. I have yet to try Design Spark, currently on Fusion and the 10 model limit is a bit annoying! Solidworks and Inventor seem overkill for 3D printing especially at those prices! And Morris, if you want sketchup, download sketchup Make 2017...

    8.A New toy

Your wild guess is far off. Depending on his slicer settings, the actual cost of a 6.5 hour print with PLA is average £1.50, which includes the electric and filament.

Same, it really is extremely useful. I have saved a couple of vacuums from the landfill by replacing the broken parts that were otherwise unavailable. The quality is extremely good if set up properly. However you get visible layer lines and the print will be porous. This can easily be solved...

    hotmail access blocked

Hotmail is owned by Microsoft. You can get issues with not receiving the code, like your phone settings blocking it or just Hotmail being rubbish. Can you try another number, like your wife or friend? It can get very annoying with companies requesting phone numbers for verification, insisting...

Buying a machine on eBay sight unseen with pallet delivery

Wow, in the dining room??? have you got the link?

Did you buy any cheap tools that surprised you with being actually good?

I've noticed this too. Personally, I think they're getting greedy as more and more people are shopping direct rather than through a local retailer. I hope I'm wrong because this won't pan out well!

Any one repaired a Henry Hoover?

Henry motors are very simple to replace. Just make sure you get the wiring the right way (2 wires only). You will need to take some bits off the old motor, like the sealing ring, which is fairly straightforwards.

    Plug Cutters

If you don't want to break the bank, you can't go wrong with Trend. Been faultless for me combined with pillar drill. About £20 each

    Record Power

I have this machine and issue as well. The remote doesn't seem to work unless it's around 2 foot from the machine, which makes it completely pointless! How far away is it supposed to work?

    Table saw blade tension

Sounds to me that you've warped the blade, throwing it out of balance as it spins. Bin the blade, not worth risking your safety over £20 or so.
