When mine did the same thing I took the switch off sprayed it with wd40 and worked it for a while and reinstalled 18 months later still working might be worth a try before spending
It fitted on my version of the excalibur fence but mine was the 3hp cabinet saw not the contractors version like yours seem to remember it was very adjustable it could also be used on a router fence as i said very adjustable
It is a adjustable stop with magnifying lens at both ends for use either side of the fence I got mine from rutlands many years ago before i changed to the ts/ls system
Aluminium tape is probably a little too thin you need a fairly pronounced lip to give it the idea ive done it sucessfully on my jet 16-32 which I believe is the same as your Performax and when I was gainfully employed on full size conveyors up to 42" wide though not with duct tape but 3/16-1/4...
Try putting a couple of wraps of duct tape in the centre of the rollers of the conveyor this effectively crowns the rollers which should stop the belt tracking side to side.
Its ok as an action film entertainment wise but mainly its gung ho usa if we had had tom hanks in the battle of the atlantic it would have been over in a week
