    I was taught technical drawing at school and loved it, I still use the techniques to work things through but you can’t transfer a lovely drawing to a 3d printer without CAD

    I think he did it as a lesson to his kids not as a permanent fix, and shutting the power of to an electric shower element is a way to control the heating element albeit a bit harsh.

    A mate of mine has put a Wi-Fi power controller on his power supply to the shower so when his kids are in there too long he can just shut it off with or without warning.

    Now I am retired I have started finding and restoring old hand tools and blow lamps as well as dabbling in electronics (led lights and Bluetooth speakers).I hope to learn and hopefully help with the group.
