    Spirit levels

Maybe it's just my levels but are there any out there where the bubble is actually the same width as the markings on the vial? That couple of mm "judgment " always bugs me.

Apple AirTags Used To Find Stolen Tools?

All great in theory but it needs an iPhone with Bluetooth turned on within range ( less than 10m) to report it's location. Forget it for handtools as a blind man would spot the tag glued on but you may get lucky with it buried inside larger items.

Your worst accident or near miss

I lost my eyebrows and eyelashes starting a fire. Back in the 70s when I was a youngster I used to help out the foresters in the holidays for some extra cash. The usual method of starting a fire in the woods back then was an old tyre with 1/4 gallon of petrol poured inside and then laid on the...

    Oil drums for dust extraction

Looks like a bargain. If it fits physically where you want to put it then use it. You may want to add some wheels /dolly as it won't be light when full.

    Coronet Herald and Tools advice

Got the same. The legs are ok but better if bolted down rather than just resting on the supplied rubber feet. The sorbry starter set is great and I have used all of them so far but have purchased a larger scraper and bowl gouge from crown for larger bowls. Can't fault either products overall...

    Dodged a bullet———almost

Its a cast bullet, not a full round so it just a lump of copper jacketted lead and not dangerous to anything except your saw blade. Looking at it it's from a centrefire cartridge and not a rimfire

B&D Workmates on Clearance for £20 at B&Q

Was given one about 30 + years ago- still got it and used occasionally. Really handy when you need to work away from the workshop. That one spent about 2 years in my lounge as a table after watching Phil Collins on TOTP...

    Dust extractors

Got a bs350 and even with a dx1000 hooked up it's pretty woeful. I now have the dx1000 running on the 100mm bottom port but also a shopvac running a hose at the lower guides and secured with magnets to the table. That gets the majority of the dust.. Its a pain having two extractors running but I...

    Spurtles !!

Stir your breakfast with it before the days fishing and then smack the evening meal trout over the head with it. Multipurpose tool!

Has anyone had issues with benchdogs.co.uk?

Other than accidentally trimming the end off the rail extension piece, none what so ever. All top quality kit.

    YouTube addiction and frustration

Rag n bone brown which is quite down to earth, badger workshop is quirky, I simply built it is very interesting and wood shop junkies from S.A. all do their thing without the massive budgets. John McGrath from Ireland is also well worth a watch. If you are interested in turning Mike Waldt is...
