It stinks when you cut it but if you turn pieces towards the top of the antler the blood channel is smaller and it can be used for pens. I have been turning down some bolt-action pens for friends and it comes up lovely. :wink: Eddie

Folks looking for some advice, I am looking to purchase a new grinder for sharpening and have it down to the Record Power 6 and 8 inch. Being a beginner is there any value in the larger 8 inch or am I just spending an extra £20 that could go elsewhere. Regards Eddie
