    Knee Pain...Help!

    I'll second that about boots. I walk the dog for a few miles everyday, have tried various shoes and boots over the 7 ½ years we have had the dog. The year before last I tried a pair of Altberg boots, well beyond my previous price range, my feet and knees have not been happier in many years...

    I have quite bad astigmatism and am long-sighted. With or without my glasses I would very pleased to be within 0.5mm.

    One more thing to add to this: If accuracy is of great importance for a project, you will need to keep your workshop at a consistent temperature and a rule, or tape, will only meet it's standard for accuracy at the temperature specified by the standard. I'm sure, in general, such consideration...

    Keep your 'ands off my gorge! I grew-up in Priddy, just a few miles away. Cycled down the gorge, at breakneck speed, many, many times as a teenager/young man, many years ago.

    Hello, I've been lurking here a while so I know using a picture is not the best way to identify timber but, hopefully someone can make an educated guess. The wood is hard, dense and planes very smooth. The colour is a little more brown/less grey than it appears in the picture.
