    Plywood wanted 1/64” thickness

Good idea, I’ll certainly give this a try. The plywood is fairly rigid and good to work with easily cut.

    Plywood wanted 1/64” thickness

It is a pad type but it lines the complete box and any fitments. Tried card in the past but maybe it wasn’t 350um but not familiar with card specs and thickness. Hobby shop have card so may try it again. Thanks

    Plywood wanted 1/64” thickness

Yes this model shop has the ply and is probably the only stockist in the north east, they are expensive though but isn’t everybody.

    Plywood wanted 1/64” thickness

The plywood is a base material to cover with thin foam, the shape is then covered with leather or suede forming a lining for boxes. The plywood is strong enough to hold the shape until glued onto the inside of the box.

    Plywood wanted 1/64” thickness

Thanks for the reply, the ply isn’t cheap I think it’s just gone up by about £10 apparently due to Covid. Postage costs are rediculous.

    Plywood wanted 1/64” thickness

Yes it is correct and it is 0.396mm thickness. The plywood seems to be a lot stronger than veneers, I’ve tried both.

    Plywood wanted 1/64” thickness

Looking for plywood 1/64” thickness at a reasonable cost. A 36 x 12“ is about £30 which is a bit pricey. Preferably a supplier in the north east area to collect would be good but I may have to consider alternatives as I’m having trouble getting it. Any suggestions appreciated and even an...

Also the projects described on YouTube all have table saws. Limited in space the saw would have to be used outside to keep the mess...

Hi, looking for some information to refurbish a very old linisher, some may remember them Made by Picador and still popular, if you can get one. Recently got one but needs a bearing on one of the pulleys, but I have no idea how to remove the old bearing or even what it looks like dismantled...

Help with choosing a disc sander.

Some advice wanted on a disc sander about 10” diameter for the bench. I’ve decided I need a disc sander as the Picador linishers don’t do what I want to do. I’ve been looking at Record and few others at around £230 which seem ok all with their faults. Also been offered a Picador 10” bench...
