Never had a problem with them myself, yes we use a straight edge has well. if you’re ok with a saw using a straight edge will get you the same result. never used a surform but I would expect a lot of dust and if I’m honest I would only do it outside unless you have a very good face fit mask.

Clevett doesn’t have to pay for it thats why he uses it….. just use a long Bosch jigsaw blade. any gaps foam them trim it off once dried and silver tape it.

A little zinc roof on the chicken shed, it certainly beats felt

I’ve just done a zinc roof (standing seam)on one of my chicken sheds, the only problem is you need the right tools to do it. you could fully adhere the zinc to the timber roof but you again it depends on the look you are wanting
