I bet you finish before me! My guitar projects are on hold whilst I fit a new kitchen. I am managing a few smaller projects at the same time, like the pens, but mrs Splinters wants her kitchen back.
Which woods are you going to use for the neck and fretboard?
I tend to use beech for the neck and then a really hard wood for fretboard to resist warping. I keep the fretboard fairly thick too. Only ever used one trussrod, but never made a 12-string either.
Here’s a photo of a fretless bass...
Looks great.
Is that acrylic or polycarbonate? Do you find it builds up static that attracts sawdust?
I’ve got a polycarbonate cover for a machine in my workshop and am forever cleaning it with anti-static spray.
Sorry to have been silent on my guitar builds but have been busy. Anyway, here you go.
I made the trussrod for this fretless bass neck. The neck is maple, fretboard is Australian Sheoak which is hard as steel but lovely to work.
Happy Christmas everyone.

I think so. Search this forum for ‘16A’ and you’ll find plenty of previous discussions about it. Get an electrician in to take a look. If your workshop has a dedicated circuit he might be able to change the MCB and fit a 16A plug and socket for the saw. There a lot of load when starting up a...
Understand it’s frustrating but I’m certain that a 16A circuit will sort it. Get an electrician in to sort it. I think you used to be able to get slow blowing 13amp fuses but think they’re history now.
