Thanks Laura, that's what I thought. I ordered a pack of each with my JMP, but after seeing your package thought that perhaps I could be getting extras.

    Can you buy shooting boards?

Apparently you can buy a shooting board. I googled it and came up with this from HNT Gordon, though making one is not hard at all. http://www.hntgordon.com.au/shootingboards.htm

You might also try the Brian Boggs video on drawknives and spokeshaves that Lie-Nielsen sells. Actually seeing instead of reading can make it a lot easier. Brent

    Primus jointer

Just a question, definately not a statement based on knowledge, but I seem to remember reading that Japanese wooden planes are supposed to be slightly concave before and after the mouth. If this is true, is it different for European wooden planes? Brent

    Norm in Hand Tool Shocker

I remember reading in an article Norm saying he enjoys using hand tools. Time limitations and what the majority of viewers want dictate his use of primarily machines on the show. Remember, he's got just over 20 minutes to introduce, make and finish a project. Not alot of time to hand cut...

Has any body been to Classic Hand Tools new shop

Thanks Dave and Edmund. I've often come across the reference while reading and was never quite sure of it's meaning. As for high streets dissapearing in the UK, it's the same thing here in Canada. I guess they call that progress. I do wish that we had a shop here in Montreal that carried so many...
