    Multitool sanding pads…

Happy new year! I’ve usually got my sanding pads for my Multitool from amazon - but they are really terrible. The Velcro sometimes burns away after one use. Can anyone recommend (from personal experience) some quality fastlock finger and delta sanding pads? Thanks so much!

    Hinge advice…

Thanks guys. The parliament hinges - I don’t think they’ll work. The 170 degree kitchen hinges - they “might” work. If the door isn’t opened beyond the 90 degrees. I’ll pick up a set from toolstation and see. But I’m still open to ideas if anyone has any? Thank you.

    Hinge advice…

Hi all, I need some advice on which hinges allow the following… I’m wanting to make 5, what basically look like kitchen carcasses - 120cm x 60cm x 30cm. 5 units all joined together to make a 3m long unit. But on the front of the doors, will be 5cm of padding. I want all the units to be...

Advice on table saw on 8x4 table...

Thanks so much guys - I still find it amazing that the forum is so active with such great replies! I think I’ve decided not to modify my table now, and just go for a table saw I can just put onto my table when I need to use it. i’m thinking of the Bosh GTX 10. It’s portable - so I can store it...

Advice on table saw on 8x4 table...

Hi all, I’ve got a wooden 8x4 table on wheels. (Got it off eBay!) I’d like to add a table saw to my workshop - and would like to add it to my table. I’ve seen different designs with the table saw on the long/short side/corner - and I’m not sure where is best? I’d love to hear your options on...

    Hobbiest Tablesaw and Bandsaw...

Good points there Trainee =D> I think, to be honest, I don't "need" a table saw yet. I use a Kreg Rip-Cut Circular Saw Edge Guide - you put your circular saw in it, and it lets you do rip cuts. It might not be as accurate as a table saw. But it works for me. I'm going to get a Record Power...

    Hobbiest Tablesaw and Bandsaw...

Cheers guys. So to get something "decent" I should be looking at about £400 for each tool? I'll have to have another look through the options.

    Hobbiest Tablesaw and Bandsaw...

Hi all, I'm looking to add a table saw and bandsaw to my very limited workshop collection. I'm going to order this week - and I'm thinking of these (both from machine mart) - Clarke CTS10D 10" (254mm) Table Saw - £215.98 (link) Clarke CBS225 228mm (9") Band Saw (230V) - £227.98 (link) If...

    Dust Extraction Grounding/Earthing??

I can’t believe the number of replies you get on this forum, it’s fantastic! :D (Even when you’re getting told off for using American words on a British forum. Thanks Mike) Distinterior - you are right! I’m working with MDF (the reason I wanted the extraction system) So it sounds mixed...

    Dust Extraction Grounding/Earthing??

Hi all, My dust extraction system is all set up - it’s working great - but I’m getting belting arm-numbing  static-electric shocks from it. Can anyone advice how they’ve grounded/earthed their setup? I’ve watched a few YouTube videos - but I don’t know if they are being overlay...

    63mm Dust Extractor???

Hi Pete (or anyone with the dx4000)... I’ve purchased the dx4000 - which is a 2x 1000w extractor. I got to turn it on for the first time today - I turned on one switch on (1000w), and the 100mm pipe, leading to the 63mm pipe, which goes to a 32mm port on my mitre saw. All the pipe sucked in -...

    63mm Dust Extractor???

Thanks Geoff, From what I can see - the 1000w Axminster was a wall hung extractor with a bag - the closest match would be the Record Power DX5000 on my list, that would also be 2000w then.

    63mm Dust Extractor???

Hi all, I've been reading about dust extraction for so long now, it's starting to drive me a little crazy  I purchased the Axminster 63mm dust extraction kit, before I read about hvlp / lvlp - now i wish i'd stuck with the 100mm ducting, i just thought 63mm would be neater! I'm...
