    Festool CTLSYS/Domino DF500 issues

Thanks yeah, I'll try it on another socket tomorrow then . Quite a weird problem but as you suggest, it maybe could be related to what the tool pulls? I would have thought a biscuiter pulls similar to a Domino though and it seems ok with that. Actually, just before the Festool dude rang me...

    Festool CTLSYS/Domino DF500 issues

Hi, my Festool CTLSYS vac has developed this weird issue where when I'm using the power take-off for the Domino df500, the vacuum pulses rather than giving a constant pull. It only does this on the power take off mode with the Domino machine. If I just turn it on via the switch, it runs...

Post a photo of the last thing you made

Cheers. I've got a project coming up made out of actual tree wood soon. Make a nice change 😊

Alcove cabinets. Boooooring 😂 Why does everyone only want alcove cabinets? Must be 95% of my enquiries. Frustrating to be a creative, and basically make mdf boxes. Still, turned out OK though.

I made a carousel for my clamps out of an old, buckled fatbike wheel. Works really well.

That's lovely that. Very nice indeed. Love the acorn detail. You can tell that it was needed too owing to the fact that you have two perfectly serviceable jars of chilli and paprika spicy chip seasoning and fennel seeds. The previously haphazard storage must have led to a repeat buy 😉...

    Graco Ultra/Ultramax

Yeah I take your point. Its a simple enough motor in concept but the system as a whole is a really nicely made bit of kit. The Edge ll Plus gun is absolutely lovely and there are lots of little details that go to make it a pleasant thing to use. The auto shut off is a great feature that...

    Graco Ultra/Ultramax

Yeah, it's all learning. The dulux sprays way better than what I used originally but I have some Tikurilla to try next which gets good shout outs.

    Graco Ultra/Ultramax

Just to update the thread. I VERY quickly realised that the Ultramax wasn't the type of gun for what I am doing and sold it two days after buying it! Luckily, because I got a great deal on it new, I sold it getting my money back. I've gone the way I should have in the start now and bought a...

External NVR placement on Dewalt 745 after near miss

Is your crown guard and riving knife set like in the picture on that dewalt? You could park your bike in that gap 😳 That's shocking if that's a manufacturers image. You shouldn't be able to see the crown of the blade. Hence the name.

Storing ply & sheet material - is a vertical rack a good idea?

Sounds like you've got a damp shed.

Storing ply & sheet material - is a vertical rack a good idea?

Probably more to do with the fact that everything has to be moved and stacked via forklift than any particular concern over maintaining flatness. Most builders merchants I've been in don't GAS about warpage, with bearers badly spaced or missing completely.

Storing ply & sheet material - is a vertical rack a good idea?

I built a vertical one with cls, and like you before that, they were all just leaning up together. Total PITA and the final straw came when a load of them fell forwards and tried to kill me. I was saved by the bandsaw that lives in front of it 😳 I share the workshop so we have a section each...
