I have an old MOF96 and had a similar problem. Mine had a blue button which was depressed to hold the shaft when tightening the collet. This plastic button located against a flat on the shaft and frankly was not very good. I simply removed the housing (four screws if my memory serves me well)...
I'm erecting a cabin on a steel structure and need advice on sizing Hilti nails and cartridges. I propose screwing the 50mm square bearers to 18mm ply which is fixed to the steel with Hilti nails. Trouble is I can't find any advice on what length nails or which colour cartridges to use. My...
Tool Mart sell propane heaters. I've got a little Clarke one with a phenomenal heat output. You'll always get water vapour as a by product of burning propane. The only way around that is to have a heater like a central heating boiler which exhausts to the outside.

Does anybody know where I can buy an NVR switch for my router table. I have a 110 volt DW625EL permanently mounted in it and find it most awkward turning the router on and off without an NVR.
I know about the Trend one but £80 for a switch seems a bit steep.

Has anybody got a UK source of a router speed controller? I have DeWalt half inch fixed speed (20,000rpm) router (DW624) and I need to get the speed down to 12,000 for a mitre lock cutter bit.
Has anybody any idea of a UK stockist of metal fixings for a wooden bed frame? I have this feeling that I saw some Australian patent fixings somewhere on the web but have lost the site. What I need is the metal plate "knock down" type fixing. I hope that this explains what I need.

Put one end on a sack truck and then strap it down. You might then be able to lift the other end with the help of a strap over the shoulder. Then wheel away. I did this with a 150mm by 150mm by 5.5 metre oak beam and it was easy.

Just to close the thread I actually used lots of long coach bolts for the job.
Leaving that aside many thanks for all the advice which I am sure I will use in the future.
