    Mortice and tenon glue up

I hadn't even considered that, how long is wood glues working time? Is there a better type of glue I could use?

    Mortice and tenon glue up

I've got to the point where everything dry fits together nicely, a few gaps on the shoulders but I guess that's to be expected in my first attempt. I now need to get it all glued together but have realised that I probably don't have enough clamps. The project is a kitchen helper stand and has...

    Round over problems

Would I be able to do this with an orbital sander or should i do it by hand?

    Round over problems

Just to take the edge off, it's a 1/8" bit, was thinking of using a 1/4" for the 2x2s but not seen what that one looks like yet. I've had my eye on the katsu one for a while now was hoping to wait out long enough to put it on my Christmas list might have to bite the bullet.

    Round over problems

Well that's certainly a simple solution, thanks! I assume any wobble I might get in the middle would be hidden when I come to sand it

    Round over problems

Hello, I need to round over some 1x2 pine on my first woodworking project and have come to a bit of an impasse. I have a titan 1/2" plunge router and thought it was going to be as simple as just running it down the side of the wood, I am however finding during my practice run that when I get to...

    Kitchen helper stand

I've finally got round to putting the finishing touches on the design for a child kitchen helper stand, since its my first real foray into woodworking I was hoping for some advice on the design. Initially I was going to have a step to assist getting to the stand but my little boy is pretty...

Plunge/track saw and rails - which one?

I've got the Titan plunge saw and cant fault it, I wouldn't discount the budget brands just for the sake of it. If you have some time watch festool vs cheap tool track saw by peter millard on youtube. If you want to save some money on the tracks then check out the st2800 by evolution, they are...

    Mitre Saws

I've had a look into that one, never heard of GMC and it was impossible to find any kind of review on it. The sliding metabo one is only about £30 more when you take into account postage from Yandles. It does look interesting at that price point but I dont want to buy something that will leave...

    Mitre Saws

Would a mitre box be good enough for kitchen trimming? Cutting the pine will be easy enough with my plunge saw and or a handsaw but probably much easier with a chop saw. I initially started looking at mitre saws after my inital design of the helper stand included some mitre joints and then when...

    Mitre Saws

Another dilemma, will a 216mm be too small! I think that the 254 is starting to push it out of my budget range, I had decided on the Metabo after reading a lot of positive reviews about it and the sliding option was <£30 more so it seemed like a no brainer for the extra capacity. What did...

    Mitre Saws

Hello all, I was hoping to get some advice regarding purchasing a mitre saw, but I am a bit conflicted about which one to get and whether I actually need one in the first place. I have been tasked with making a helper stand for my child to use in the kitchen so i am going to need to cut up a...
