You don't need to make the 19 part smaller. The part 18 has cam hole, so if you loose the 19 screw and turn around the 18, then you can adjust the mechanism to 90 degrees or more.

Hi guys. Finally I changed my mind after a short talking I had with the customer service of Axminster, so I ordered the Goliath chuck. The technician said that the K10 would be the identical chuck for this lathe ( but it is not in stock and it will be available again at the end of May!!!), but...
